Demo Release & Chapter 1 Deadline update

DEMO NEWS

Hi everyone! The Aster Corporation Demo release is just around the corner! We'll be releasing the Demo on Sunday September 16th 2023, near the evening. I am so happy I fixed the installer issue and that I get to share this very small part of my project with you1 I hope you like what you see because it's only a small piece of what I've got planned! Keep in mind, it is just a small UI demo so no story is implemented yet.

CHAPTER 1 NEWS

Chapter 1 is soon to be released in the next month or so. However, I am splitting it into 2 parts so I can finish up the resources for the second half of the new chapter 1 build. The current build is still being fitted with the new upgrades for a few systems that are pretty crucial to the story so it'll take a hot minute to fully develop the first chapter. For clarification, since chapter 1 is being split, the first release will be Chapter 0.5 and the second will be Chapter 1. No giant updates between the two should happen but a few systems will be locked in release 1(chapt. 0.5) to prevent any broken systems from being accessed.

DEADLINES

Chapters 0.5 and 1 do have projected releases which are as follows. Chapter 0.5 will be released somewhere between the 30th of this month and October 12th, hopefully sooner than later. Chapter 1's full release is projected to be somewhere near if not on November 15th 2023. These may change, but are pretty much set as far as I am concerned.

WHAT'S IN THE FULL RELEASE

The full release will contain a few small documents, a small database of files and a notes section on each file to get started. A system called the BiScan will be released as well; this system scans a set of data towers placed around the lands of Asteracastia to collect data and store it for AC databases and analysis. Depending on scan results, certain files will be accessed. There will be a username and passcode needed to sign-in to the STAFF area which is where all lore related elements will be. All current articles will be finalized, and a new memo will be put into each of the Guest and STAFF bulletin areas respectively.

WHERE CAN USERS TALK ABOUT THE PROJECT?

Great question! Currently, there are a Guilded and Discord server in the works but unfinished. The Spaces By Wix app is a great way to access the forum and blog on this site through mobile, the code for this is NJ053T; the forum and blog are obviously accessible through pc as well, and I'll be releasing a new build of the AC website during the time period between now and Chapter 1.

TO-DO LIST

My current list of things to do is quite short as of this moment. I'll be building the new AC website build, as well as finalizing the file system, articles, BiScan algorithms and visuals, servers, and Installer files. There will be an extra file installed with the program that'll tell you your username and passcode for the program STAFF area. No, these cannot be changed(I wanted a lot to allow you to change them but the system just couldn't support any of the methods I tried, sorry. OnO ).

FINAL THOUGHTS

I am so happy I can share this project with you all! I have been working on this project for sometime now, a little over 3 years on the story and just under a year for website and program development. As far as I know, the programs that will be released will be the main source of content as Wix only allows a certain number of pages for unpaid websites and I cannot add everything within that limited number. So when it comes to canon material, you should mostly rely on the program. As far as purchase and installation of the program goes, I'll leave it as pay what you want as I really just want to share this story. I'm so excited to finally start this thing up.
